Student Enrichment Offerings
SouthLake Christian Academy is proud to introduce our new Student Enrichment program aptly named, After the Academics.
The Student Enrichment program here at SouthLake Christian, has been designed as an extension of our successful summer camp program, with the intention of bringing additional, extracurricular opportunities to our SouthLake Christian student body. From academics to the arts and robotics to recreation, we will be adding specialized programs to our after-school calendar with the goal of enhancing your student's experience here at SouthLake Christian. Our long-term goal is to provide programs that will cross over all grade levels, ranging from JK through 12th grade, and we will be looking to add programs for additional grade levels as this program builds and grows.
From Lego to lacrosse, basketball to Barbie, and cheerleading to cooking, we’re hoping there will be a program designed to cater to every student need, passion and interest. Please continue to check our website as we begin to bring additional programming for the 2024-2024 academic calendar.

Pickleball
1st - 8th grade
Mondays, beginning September 30th, from 3:30-5:00pm**
Cost of $250.00 for 9 weeks
Come join us for Pickleball! One of the most popular programs coming over from SLCA's summer camp program, this quickly growing sport is great for ALL ages. Coach Tim Dougherty will teach fundamentals and hone already developing skills in this fun-filled, sports driven enrichment program.
Sole Sisters
3rd - 6th grade girls
Tuesdays, beginning September 3rd, from 3:30-5:00pm
Cost of $300.00 for 13 weeks
Sole Sisters is designed to positively nurture the development of young women through spiritual, emotional, social and physical well-being and growth. Led by Lisa McCarthy, this evidence-based program includes activities that will inspire our youth to build confidence, bolster decision-making skills and emphasize kindness by embracing our differences and finding strength in our connectedness.
Art Extravaganza
3rd - 6th grade
Thursdays, beginning September 5th, from 3:30-5:00pm
Cost of $325.00 for 13 weeks
In this art enrichment program, students in grades 3rd - 6th will dive deeper into the foundations and fundamentals of this subject. Program leader Charity Simpson will give opportunities to explore different aspects of this field, ranging from drawing, to painting, to sculpting, while allowing students to discover the freedom of their own creativity.
CheerEagles
JK - 4th grade
Wednesdays, beginning September 4th, from 3:30-5:00pm
Cost of $300.00 for 13 weeks
The CheerEagles program is designed to bring the fun and excitement of school spirit to our lower school children. With the help of coaches Cami Creed and Jess Freeman, we will partner our mini cheerleaders with our varsity cheer squad, who will (pun intended!) take them under their Eagle wings and show them the ropes of all things SouthLake cheerleading. They will have the opportunity to cheer alongside the girls at varsity home games and will help raise the spirit level for our Homecoming game. They will essentially become the spirit squad for our home games, creating signs / banners, hyping up the crowd and helping to grow the attendance / sense of community at our SLCA football and basketball games.
