After-School Care Program

SouthLake Christian families with students in JK to 6th grade can choose a range of after care options that best fit their needs.

At our After-School program, students are under the supervision of experienced staff members, both part-time and full-time, who are committed to offering a safe, nurturing, and enjoyable environment in a cozy setting. We provide nutritious snacks for all students in our care, as well as a dedicated time for homework. Our After-School program operates during the school academic year and does not run during scheduled school breaks such as Teacher Workdays, Fall Break, Christmas Break, Easter Break, and others.

We understand the demands on modern families and have developed a flexible after-school care program to assist you and your child. To enroll their child in After-School care, parents must contact the school office and complete the necessary paperwork. Parents must inform the teacher of the specific day they want their child to attend After-School care. Additionally, parents can contact the Lower School office if unforeseen circumstances arise during the day, such as illness, appointments, or traffic delays, and request their child to participate in after-school care.

 

AFTER-SCHOOL

After-School care is available from Monday to Thursday until 6 p.m., and on Friday, until 5:30 p.m. Depending on grade level, students check in between 2:30 p.m. and 3:10 p.m. in the Lower Level of Hampton Hall. In After-School students have time to unwind through open-ended play, exploration of nature, and organized projects and games. Upon their initial arrival, students will have an opportunity to complete homework and enjoy provided snacks until 3:30 p.m. Dietary needs are provided for and all snacks are nut-free. Play time is scheduled after snack time until 6:00 p.m., on sign posted designated areas. On campus school events.

 

REGISTRATION

An email will be sent to all families prior to the start of the school year. It is recommended to register your child for the After School Care (ASC) program in case you require last-minute care. Registering does not obligate you to use the ASC program.

 

Fees

SCHEDULED FEES

Families will receive their billing statements via FACTS on the 10th of each month, starting in September. Details about our location notification system will be shared at the beginning of the school year. For any inquiries, reach out to the After-School office.

  • Daily fixed rate per child = $20

 

DROP-IN FEES

Families who would like to use After-School Care on an as-needed basis will be charged the hourly rate. Drop-in spots are also available each day.

  • Pick-up is between 2:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. = $10 per hour 

 

LATE FEE

An extra fee of $25 applies if a child is collected after 6:00 p.m. for the first and second times. Should a third late pick-up occur, the student might be excluded from After-School for one month.
