Class Size: While each class varies, our goal is to offer class sizes that maximize student success. Our elementary classes are limited to 22 students, often with a teacher and full-time assistant. Our upper school grade levels have 60-80 students each, while sections are kept under 24. Our upper school Honors and AP classes have as few as 7 students.

Faculty: SouthLake Christian employs approximately 100 faculty and staff. Sixty-five percent have, or are working toward, advanced degrees (Master’s or PhD). The upper school has a College and Career Counseling Office and our Academic Development Center is dedicated to learning services and tutoring at all grade levels. A school nurse is on campus at all times.

Technology: Technology is incorporated into the classroom with SMART boards provided through a decade-long cooperative with Duke Energy and other benefactors. Technology continues to expand throughout campus and into the curricula with STEAM and Explore, Productivity, and Media Labs. The High School operates on a 1:1 program.
Standardized Testing: Each spring, ERB testing is administered to students in grades 2-8. The ERB test is administered by many private preparatory schools in the United States enabling SLCA to measure our students' achievement with the highest standards. SouthLake Christian students scored 30 percentage points higher than other top US private schools on the ERB.
Athletics: Our athletic program offers competition for middle and high school athletes in 14 different sports. We compete in the Metrolina Athletic Conference (MAC) and the 3A level (highest level) of the North Carolina Independent Schools Athletic Association (NCISAA).

Transportation: SouthLake Christian offers bus service to Mooresville, Huntersville, Cornelius, Davidson, Denver and North Charlotte.
After School: Our After School Program is offered to students in grades JK-8. It is designed to accommodate student interests and family needs helping parents manage their busy schedules.
