Upper School Curriculum

Middle and high school language arts curriculum emphasizes compostition and classical literature. Middle school students study Latin, while students in high school take Spanish. Math courses include algebra, geometry, trigonometry and calculus; science includes biology, microbiology, chemistry, physics, physical science, anatomy, and physiology. World history, US history, Civics/Governments, bible studies, music, art, and physical education complete the academic offerings.

Beginning in 9th grade, students can qualify for advanced placement or honors programs in mathematics and language arts. Students in grades 11 and 12 can take courses which SLCA does not offer at nearby colleges and universities, earning college credits while fulfilling graduation requirements. A portfolio of keyboarding, word processing, programming, and research projects documents each student's computer proficiency.

9th-12th Grade Curriculum
