Afterschool Care

SouthLake Christian Academy offers an Afterschool Care Program to help meet the demands of busy families. In the Afterschool Care Program students are supervised by experienced part-time and full-time staff members who are dedicated to providing a safe, caring, and fun environment in a comfortable setting. Nutritious snacks are made available for all Afterschool Care students, and there is a designated homework time.

The Afterschool Care Program is provided during the school academic calendar year. The program does not meet during designated school breaks (i.e., Teacher Workdays, Fall Break, Christmas Break, Easter Break, etc.).

There are two Afterschool Care options available:

Option 1. Families who need afterschool care on a consistent basis for their children. Parents can enroll their child into the Afterschool Program by contacting the Lower School office. The charge for this service varies based on student utilization but ranges from a minimum of $6 to a maximum of $13 per day per child. Parents are invoiced monthly for this service.

Option 2. Families who only need Afterschool Care on an occasional basis. Parents will need to contact the Lower School office to fill out necessary paperwork. Parents need to notify the teacher on the day they want to place their child into Afterschool. Parents can also call the Lower School office and request their child to attend Afterschool for unexpected changes that occur during the day such as illness, appointments, or traffic delays. The charge for this service varies based on student utilization and is billed and invoiced in the same manner as Option 1.

New in 2012/2013: a new space has been designated for our 5th-8th grade students allowing for more age appropriate activities and privileges. A snack and homework time are provided each day.
