Welcome to SouthLake Christian Academy's College Counseling Center.

Karen Woodruff, Director of College Counseling Center 704-949-2250

The college admissions process can be both an exciting and stressful time for students and parents. Our college counselors seek to provide each student with the encouragement, guidance and support they need to fulfill the purpose and plans God has for his or her life. Each family is an integral part of the process.

Generally 100% of our graduates pursue their education beyond the secondary level and have been admitted into the nations' top public and private universities including: The US Air Force Academy, the US Military Academy at West Point, the US Naval Academy, Yale, UNC-Chapel Hill, Duke, Davidson, Wake Forest, Virginia and many more.

In 2013, our graduates received over $3.5 million dollars in scholarships.

Our college counseling office is staffed by an experienced and talented team whose only goal is to assist each student in the development of a college admissions plan that best meets his or her individual needs. The heart of the college counseling program begins in Upper School during the students' freshmen year with special emphasis during their junior and senior years. We are committed to helping our students find the college that aligns best with their individual objectives; to identifying financial aid options, scholarship requirements, available internships; and to navigating through the college admissions process successfully.

SouthLake Christian Academy holds affiliations with the National Association of College Admissions Counselors (NACAC) and the Southern Association of College Admissions Counselors (SACAC).

"...We are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ." II Corinthians 10:5

"The Mission of SouthLake Christian Academy is twofold. The first is to assist the Christian family by providing an education marked by a biblical worldview, academic excellence and affordability so that students are equipped to be salt and light for God's glory. The second is evangelical in scope, to present God's Word and biblical worldview daily to non-believers with the promise of God's redemptive plan, to be a force and voice for Jesus Christ that will resonate throughout non-believing families."
