Class Size: While each class varies, our goal is to offer class sizes that maximize student success. Our elementary classes are limited to 21 students, often with a teacher and full-time assistant. Our upper school grade levels have 65-80 students each, while classrooms are kept under 24. Our high school honors and AP classes have as few as 7 students.

Faculty: SouthLake employs approximately 90 faculty and staff. 65% have or are working toward advanced degrees (master’s or PhD). The High School has a College Counseling office and our Academic Development Center is dedicated to learning services and tutoring at all grade levels. A school nurse is on campus at all times.

Technology: Technology is incorporated into the classroom with SMART boards provided through our cooperative with Duke Energy. We also have 3 computer labs available to students beginning in elementary grades. Duke Energy has been our partner for over a decade, providing technology for the classroom and educational opportunities outside the classroom.
Standardized Testing: Our students in grades 2-8 take the ERB test each year, administered by only the top 10% private preparatory schools in the United States. Our students scored 30 percentage points higher than other top US private schools on the ERB. The ERB enables us to measure our student achievement with the highest standards.
Athletics: Our athletic program offers competition for Middle and High School athletes in 20 different sports. We compete in the Metrolina Athletic Conference (MAC) and the 3A level (highest level) of the North Carolina Independent Schools Athletic Association (NCISAA).

Transportation: SouthLake offers bus service to Mooresville, Huntersville, Cornelius, Davidson and Denver.
After School: Our After School Program is offered to students in grades JK-8. It is designed to accommodate student interests and family needs, helping parents manage their busy schedules.
