"We kept telling (players) to keep doing your thing," SouthLake coach Bobby McLaughlin said. "You'll be OK. Don't get down on yourselves, don't get down on each other. Play hard. Eventually something good is going to happen." A state championship is what happened; it doesnt get any sweeter. See what the locals had to say about this team that never gave up.

"InSideOut Coaching", a FREE talk with elite athlete, coach, and speaker Joe Ehrmann

We are pleased to invite you to a special evening on campus as SLCA welcomes nationally known speaker and author Joe Ehrmann. Joe is a former NFL player, coach, educator, and motivator who develops young people and coaches to excel in life and on the field. Joe speaks at churches, schools, and teams across the country and we have received great feedback about his message.

Joe will speak at 7pm on Sunday September 21st in the gym at SLCA. This will be a community wide keynote address so invite your friends and family to come. The event will last until 8pm. Please RSVP at jhaney@southlakechristian.org and make sure to include the number of people attending with you. There will not be childcare available and his message is geared to middle school age children and older.

We also look forward to Joe conducting a coaches workshop earlier in the day for our staff and other local schools/organizations we have invited. In addition, Joe will be speaking to many of our students the next day at chapel. Thank you and please consider joining us for this special event.

"...We are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ." II Corinthians 10:5

"The Mission of SouthLake Christian Academy is twofold. The first is to assist the Christian family by providing an education marked by a biblical worldview, academic excellence and affordability so that students are equipped to be salt and light for God's glory. The second is evangelical in scope, to present God's Word and biblical worldview daily to non-believers with the promise of God's redemptive plan, to be a force and voice for Jesus Christ that will resonate throughout non-believing families."
