Board of Trustees

Governance

The purpose of the Board is to serve as the legislative body in creating and developing policy for the conduct of the school. Trustees must serve with the intent of glorifying God by governing the school in a thoughtful, professional and loving manner. The responsibilities of the Board are:

  • The establishment of policy
  • The governance under such policies
  • The purchase, sale or utilization of school property
  • Determine size of both school and student population
  • Approval of annual budget
  • Oversight of school finances
  • Active promotion and support of the school both within the community and SouthLake Presbyterian Church

School Board members serve three year rotating terms and must be communing members of SouthLake Presbyterian Church.

The first is to assist the Christian family by providing an education marked by a biblical wordview, academic excellence and affordability so that students are equipped to be salt and light for God's glory. The second is evangelical in scope, to present God's Word and biblical worldview daily to non-believers with the promise of God's redemptive plan, to be a force and voice for Jesus Christ that will resonate throughout non-believing families."
